How to Wash New Towels

How to Wash New Towels

You probably know how new towels can be less absorbent than you prefer. To improve the new towel’s absorbency, as well as for hygiene purposes, we recommend that you wash towels before their first use.

Follow our guide to make your new towels both soft and absorbent.

Use of detergent and fabric softener

We recommend that you use washing powder, when you wash your new towels. Hold back on the fabric softener as it forms a film on the cotton that impairs the towel’s ability to dry and its absorbency.

Wash your towels at 60 degrees

You should wash your towels separately the first few times and always together with similar colours. Always wash your towels at minimum 60 degrees.

Tumble drying makes the towels soft

Your towels will be extra soft and maintain their fluffiness if you tumble dry them after each washing. If you want to save energy, you can hang them to dry before giving them a short spin in the tumble dryer.

Always check the washing instructions on your towel before washing it.
