Pamper your dad on Father’s Day

On June 17th it is Father's Day. On this day, go ahead and pamper your dad with lot of kind words and affection – and of course presents that show him that you care. "But wait," you might say, "Isn't dad impossible to shop for?" You are right, most dads are. A pair of socks or a bottle of aftershave are classic but also a bit boring gifts. This year, put some thought into the perfect present to make sure that your father feels your affection. Here is a list of presents for four types of fathers: the relaxed, the well-groomed, the active, and the downright tired one.

Gifts for the Relaxed dad

What man doesn't love to like to relax in front of the TV when the news or a good game is on? Make sure that dad is super comfy with a nice armchair, where he can kick up his feet after a hard day's work.

Gifts for the well-groomed dad

Does dad like to look after himself? Items for personal care aren't just for your mother. Make sure dad has the right equipment to stay in shape and look the best he can.

Gifts for the active dad

If dad loves to work in the garden, make sure that he can enjoy the fruits of his labor in a nice chair with a cool drink. Is dad an active, outdoorsy type who enjoys fresh air and a good hike? Help him follow his passion with the right equipment.

Gifts for the tired dad

Does dad deserve a good night's sleep or do you want to pay him back for all those times that you woke him up at night either as s baby or possibly as a teenager coming home late? Get him a nice duvet and pillow set so he can sleep in.

About Father's Day

Father's Day is the celebration of fatherhood, and the influence of fathers in society. On this day we honor fathers and fathers all over the world are treated with breakfast served in bed, handmade cards and gifts.

The exact origins of Father's Day are disputed, but the celebration of male parenting probably began roughly 100 years ago and the day was created to complement Mother's Day. Father's Day is celebrated on different dates all over the world. Most commonly in the months of March, April, and June. In Catholic Europe, it is celebrated on March 19th (St. Joseph's Day). Many other countries in Europe and the Americas celebrate it the third Sunday of June.
