An air bed is invaluable for so many situations. A blow-up mattress as a sleeping solution is affordable, portable, and easy-to-use. It does not require much space to bring along, it is quickly and easily unpacked and set up – and once it is no longer needed, stowed away for future use. Beds with a built-in pump are especially convenient, as they are self-inflating and thus require even less setup. A selection of our airbeds come with a built-in pump, so all you have to do is plug it in, flick the switch and away it goes, inflates in seconds! The built-in pump also deflated the air mattress as well. For our range of traditional air beds we also offer air pump models such as foot and hand pumps that are very portable to take with you. If you’re planning to take your air bed on a camping trip, you’ll also want to take a closer look at our other accessories, including standard and self-inflating roll matsand air cushions.
If you often find yourself playing host to impromptu guests, make life easier with a JYSK airbed. The blow-up bed is the classic answer to the perennial problem of how to accommodate extra house guests when space is limited. If you don’t have the room – or budget – for a permanent sofa bed, an inflatable air bed can be just the ticket. Designed to pack small for under-bed or top-of-wardrobe storage, a good air bed can provide a low-cost solution in an instant. At JYSK, you can choose from single, double or king size airbeds and from those with built-in or external pumps. All are engineered to inflate and deflate quickly, efficiently and without a fuss. Whether you need an airbed for a children’s sleepover, family staying overnight, a camping trip, or even a summer festival, an inflatable air bed or blow-up bed is the perfect solution for when you need an extra bed or a place to sleep while away from home.
If your air bed does not remain firm after multiple inflations, it might have been punctured. If this is the case, there is no need to discard it – patching up an air bed is quite simple and will extend the lifespan of the bed even further.
Many air beds come with a sealing patch that you can use to seal the puncture. This is done in the same manner as you would patch up a bicycle tyre. Simply clean the area around the puncture and apply the sealing patch – it will adhere itself, and your air bed will, after another inflation, be as good as new.
If you are having trouble pinpointing the exact location of the puncture, you can mix up some soap water and gently wipe the mixture across the general area of the puncture. Suds will form at the location of the puncture as the air is seeping out, revealing to you the exact location that you will need to seal.
Keep in mind to only use the sealing patch on PVC surfaces, as the patch will not adhere properly to velvet surfaces.
To prevent puncturing or damaging your air bed, make sure to place it on even ground, perhaps on a roll mat, and not near any sharp or hard objects. If you are indoors, you can place a blanket or rug beneath the mattress to further minimise the risk of damage. Finally, covering the top of the air mattress with a blanket can protect it from hard objects such as trouser buttons and belt buckles.
With proper care and preventive measures, you can easily extend the lifespan of your air bed and ensure that it will be a comfortable and reliable sleeping solution for you for a long time to come.
