- | Characteristics |
Foam mattress | The mattress has a foam core. The support the mattress gives your body depends on what type of foam is used. |
Spring mattress | The mattress's core is made up of springs. The more springs, the better. The springs may be supplemented by foam that can give different levels of support to your body. |
Latex mattress | A latex mattress is a foam mattress that contains a combination of natural or synthetic latex and other materials. Latex is a very breathable material that provides good solid support to your body. |
JYSK recommends that a mattress is replaced after ten years but our mattresses have up to a 25-year guarantee.

How much for a mattress?
The more expensive a mattress is, the better it is at adapting to your body and your needs. In addition to some materials, like latex, being more expensive than others, the pricier mattresses also have more comfort zones to support your body and ensure that you sleep well. Additionally, some spring mattress models are more expensive than others because they contain more or better springs.
"Customers today are generally more willing to spend more money on a mattress than in the past. They're more aware of how important good sleep is to their overall well-being."
– Peter, Category Manager, JYSK
Does mattress quality correspond with price?
A more expensive mattress gives you better quality, better materials and more support for your specific body type. But it's still important to ensure that the mattress fits your needs.
"In the low- to mid-range, you'll find the biggest differences when it comes to comfort. Additionally, the pricier mattresses have more intricate designs."
– Peter, Category Manager, JYSK
Do you sleep better on a more expensive mattress?
Not necessarily. A lot of it depends on the size that you need and what it takes for your body to adapt to the mattress. You can buy an expensive mattress with deep shoulder zones for side sleeping but if you always sleep on your back, it will be irrelevant because you won't receive the correct support.
In certain situations, it won't be necessary to buy a more expensive mattress. That's why it's always important to visit a JYSK store and try out various mattresses before making a decision. Our trained store staff is ready to guide and assist you.
