JYSK SUPPORTS UKRAINE

The situation in Ukraine is changing hour by hour, and JYSK’s primary focus remains to protect our employees and their loved ones as well as helping refugees within and outside Ukraine.
To protect our employees, we decided early on Thursday morning, 24 February 2022, to temporarily close all our 86 stores in Ukraine.
Since then, a number of stores have been re-opened, because our Ukrainian employees have expressed a wish to be able to make a positive difference locally.
Here is an overview of some of the main things that JYSK is currently doing:

  • In the neighbouring countries – Poland, Slovakia, Romania, and Hungary – our country management teams are working to secure donations of relevant products to the large aid organisations that have the knowledge and expertise to most efficiently get the help out to as many as possible.
  • Dedicated JYSK teams in the neighbouring countries are also helping colleagues, who are fleeing from Ukraine, with finding housing and employment.
  • JYSK is also setting up a fund, which all JYSK employees can donate to, and which the country management team in Ukraine will handle. JYSK has donated DKK 1 million as an initial amount.

How can you as a customer help?

We are grateful for the amount of customers, who reach out to us and ask if they can donate via JYSK.
In addition to our actions above, we urge everyone to donate money to the large aid organisations. This is the best way to help in Ukraine right now.
The large aid organisations have the knowledge and expertise to most efficiently get the help out to as many as possible.

WE PRAY FOR PEACE
